Anthony Garcia sentenced to 65 years in prison for gang murder because of his crime scene tattoo

A California gang murder cold case completely thawed on Friday with a 65-year sentence for a callous killer who tattooed the crime scene on his chest.

Anthony Garcia, 25, was convicted in April of first-degree murder for the 2004 shooting death of 23-year-old John Juarez near downtown Los Angeles.

The police had struggled to solve the case until someone in the sheriff’s department spotted a photo of Garcia’s ghoulish tattoo showing the grisly details of the killing in ink.
