The guy in the Marlins jersey at the World Series gave up his seat to 'God Bless America' singer

Marlins Guy, aka attorney Laurence Leavy, grabbed many of your attention during the first games of the World Series for sitting behind home plate wearing a bright orange Marlins jersey. He did this despite neither of the teams in the World Series being the Miami Marlins.

Marlins Guy became Good Guy Marlins Guy on Friday night when he gave up his seat to Steven Powell of the U.S. Navy, who was at the game to sing “God Bless America.”

Powell’s performance was hindered by audio issues, which cut out his mic at the beginning of the song. He trucked right through, though, and finished strong.

Not bad seats to finish the game with.
