- Reviewed in the United States on February 8, 2012If your lookin 4 a good laugh buy these they can deffenitely fool the average person. I got my friend wit these I left one on tha side of tha basketball court where we play and when he found it I asked him what it was (playing dumb) and he said a lotto ticket as he scratched it I watched him and a look came over his face like he was having a heart attack thats when I asked him if he won anything (he lied and said no) and he quickly put the ticket in his pocket and said he forgot something at his house and almost took off on foot even though his car was right there and when we got to his house he read tha back of it thats when he knew it was me and admitted he was just being paranoid bcuz he thought he won $50000 but he was a good sport and it was fun so if your lookin 4 a good laugh I reccomend these fake lotto tickets
- Reviewed in the United States on November 18, 2016Got these for my friend on his 18th birthday. After he had already scratched off over 20 lottery tickets that day the fake ticket still fooled him despite looking slightly off. I was able to make it look much more appealing by mixing it in with 3 other real lottery tickets! My recommendation would be to use the tickets with the lowest winning amount for the joke, as it is more believable on the ticket of its type.
Great gag gift and I still have a few extra that I can fool people with!
- Reviewed in the United States on July 3, 2016I bought these as a gag gift for a friends birthday. They looked OK but if you look at them closely, you can tell they're fake. I mixed the card in with some real ones to throw my friend off.
While they're good for a prank, you'll need to mix them in with real cards.
Some of the cons
Scratch area doesn't scratch off easily, like a real card.
The numbers under the scratch area are EXTREMELY small and VERY hard to read. We all had to look at them with reading glasses (I used my friends pair as my vision is still pretty good).
If they increased the font size of the numbers I would have rated these 5 stars.
- Reviewed in the United States on April 10, 2014Ok so my aunt/uncle who were hosting Christmas last year made the family gift exchange into a scratch off lottery ticket exchange, so I put in the regular lottery tickets and managed to sneak 6 of these tickets into the same pile. The object was that everyone takes a turn, grabs a lottery ticket, and scratches it off...one at a long, tedious, slow time (at least a dozen people and 5 tickets each...do the math at about 2 minutes per person, per turn). Well, my aunt was the first one to pull a fake ticket, and she pretended like she didn't see the amount correctly and asked my son who confirmed "20" to her (with two of us knowing that 20, was the first part of 20 THOUSAND). Her hands were shaking and her eyes were shifty as she put the ticket in her pocket quickly. Then Mom took one of the fake tickets and when she scratched it off and saw her "winnings" she started laughing and asked if it was one of those fake lottery tickets, and proceeded to read the back, which is pretty funny, and we all got a laugh.
My aunt pulled her winning ticket out of her pocket, turned it over, read the back, and got all teary eyed with disappointment. She and her husband didn't think it was funny or fair that these prank tickets are available, but I'm telling you, everyone else thought they were a hoot.
- Reviewed in the United States on February 24, 2016Good fun only reason I didn't rate this a 5 star is because some of the cards looks extremely fake and cheesy also it's hard to scratch off. I mixed the fake one with some real ones. Real gamblers will know the difference if you don't. However, my grandfather was fooled good. He was excited jumping up for joy until he read the back. Great prank!
- Reviewed in the United States on August 23, 2019I'll start by saying that any fake lottery ticket you buy is not going to look exactly like the real thing. There are clearly differences. I'm guessing that unless someone has already been a victim of this prank or does a lot of scratch off tickets, you'll probably fool them (at least with their initial reaction).
I bought these after tricking a couple of people, and then they wanted some to give out. They seem to be working, because I have already been asked to get more.
I also wanted to praise the seller for being patient and thorough with me when I contacted him after I didn't think the tickets had been delivered yet. I made the mistake, but it was clear that he was going to make sure things were right. That means a lot!
- Reviewed in the United States on January 1, 2016I call BS on any review that rates these anything but a rip off. First they look fake as a $3 bill & would not fool anyone, especially if they had ever seen one before. The WORST thing is when you scratch off the coating the prize amounts are printed sooo light & tiny that it is a dead giveaway that these are FAKE. No good for a joke. I had to get a magnifying glass and extra light to read the prize amounts!!
- Reviewed in the United States on August 29, 2013Perfect for gag gifts or to enclose in birthday cards! You can't tell these from real scratch offs! I actually used one in a birthday card to a co-worker several years ago, and in the Card, I wrote "if you win, you have to split it with me ok? LOL". Well, let me tell you - he opened the card, scratched off the ticket, kept a POKER FACE and stuck it in his pocket, claiming it wasn't a winner! Later, when he read the BACK of the card on how to cash in, boy was his face RED! HA! GOTCHA!
